Come enjoy the movie, Stand By Me at the Historic Sidney Theatre.

After learning that a stranger has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four Oregon boys decide to go see the body. On the way, Gordie Lachance (Wil Wheaton), Vern Tessio (Jerry O’Connell), Chris Chambers (River Phoenix) and Teddy Duchamp (Corey Feldman) encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, as they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives. Just a lark at first, the boys’ adventure evolves into a defining event in their lives.

2018 preHoliday Shop Hop

The Angels in the Attic Craft Show, Sidney Visitors Bureau, Sidney Alive, and the Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce are working together to organize a “Shop Hop” of specialty stores and boutiques in the Sidney area.  The “Shop Hop” will run in conjunction with the Angels in the Attic Craft Show, an annual event held at Ross Historical Center in downtown Sidney.

HOW IT WORKS:  Customers will pick up a “Shop Hop” card at any of the participating businesses.  The customer will then need to visit a required number of shops.  Once you have met the requirement, he/she will turn in the card and will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize.

If you love a challenge this activity is for you!!!  Escape rooms are the new craze you won’t want to miss out on!!

There are six rooms and three mysteries available.  The mysteries are set in the Wild West, an FBI safe house and a school.

Time slots can be reserved for Fridays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays from 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The rooms will also be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 15th.  Reservations can be made online at http://escapesidneyoh.simplybook.me or by calling (937)638-4586.  Admission is $15.00 per person per mystery.  Reservations are encouraged, but not required.

Unable to see good any longer, he does not recognize Gerda as a friend anymore and is taken away by the Snow Queen and imprisoned in her ice palace. Will Gerda be able to free Kai from the evil witch’s spell?
