This open-house event offers a rare chance to see the Lockington Dam up close, with experts available to guide you and answer any questions. A brief celebration will be held at 11:30 a.m. to mark the completion of recent rehabilitation and construction projects, which have strengthened the dam and ensured the continued safety of downstream communities. Tours will follow where you’ll learn about future projects and ongoing funding needs, view an exhibit on the 1913 Flood and the history of the dam’s construction, and discover how the entire Flood Protection System operates. Attendees will hear directly from experts involved in the dam’s care and maintenance.
