Discover one of Shelby County’s newest outdoor attractions at the Grand Opening of the Tawawa Park Disc Golf Course on Friday, July 10! The celebration begins with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a free disc golf clinic led by professional player Tony Reiss, a Lehman Catholic High School graduate, PDGA Pro since 2011, and 43-time career tournament champion. Whether you’re an experienced player or have never thrown a disc before, this is a great opportunity to learn the game, improve your skills, and explore the beautiful new course in Tawawa Park. Bring your friends and family and help celebrate this exciting addition to Sidney’s outdoor recreation opportunities!

Fort Loramie Liberty Days is a classic hometown 4th of July celebration packed with summer fun for the whole family. Enjoy a full festival experience featuring amusement rides, food vendors, and live entertainment that brings the community together all weekend long.

A can’t-miss highlight is on Friday night at 10:00 p.m. at the park – a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the sky!

Ferguson Construction is opening Canal Street for a hands-on community event where kids (and kids at heart!) can get an up-close look at some of the impressive vehicles and equipment that help build and serve our community. It’s a great opportunity to explore, ask questions, snap photos, and make memories.

Each July, Country Concert at Hickory Hill Lakes draws thousands to Shelby County for one of the Midwest’s premier country music festivals. This three-day event features top national artists, a lively campground atmosphere, and a welcoming, down-to-earth vibe. It’s more than a concert—it’s a summer tradition where music, friends, and community come together.

It’s a great day in downtown Sidney for the Blessing of the Wheels on the Shelby County Courthouse Square!

Join us Saturday, April 25 for a full afternoon of bikes, cars, live music, and community — all supporting a great cause. Proceeds benefit the Veterans Services Food Pantry.
