Vietnam Traveling Wall & Field of Crosses

The AVTT-TWF Traveling Wall is a replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. Accompanying the Vietnam Wall this year will be the Field of Crosses, surrounded by flags.  There will be 1,000 crosses honoring all US soldiers that have perished while on active duty between 1975 and today.

The wall will be escorted to Sidney by a motorcycle parade on Wednesday evening with wall installation beginning on Thursday. An opening ceremony will be conducted Thursday evening at 6:30.

Guest speakers Col. David Taylor and Kathy Hayes will present on Friday. 

On Saturday, the 4th Annual Tawawa Park Cruise-In will begin at Noon followed by a Patriotic Concert by the Sidney Civic Band at 6:30.

On Sunday at 8:00 AM, the 1st Christian Church is hosting a service with Rev. Phil Chilcote officiating. A Closing Ceremony will be held at 3:00 PM.

Join in for the 4th Annual Tawawa Park Cruise-In! This year the Cruise-In is being held in conjunction with the Traveling Vietnam Wall Tribute and Field of Crosses being held at Custenborder Field. Golf carts will be available to shuttle visitors between the two parks for your convenience.

No entry fee.
Dash Plaques to the first 100 cars registered.
Goody bags for the first 150 cars registered.
Door prize raffle for registered cars (Must be present to win).

For over 30 years, Restless Heart has been dominating the country music scene. This Nashville-based country outfit has been bringing their hit country tunes to stages all over the world for several decades and can be compared to fine wine—it only gets better with age. For over 25 years Jay White has performed all over the world, while reflecting the stage persona of this Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Legend. Validation came from a Las Vegas Riviera Showroom headliner, sparking national interest and recognition. In 2008 Jay was cast by Director Ron Howard to play Neil Diamond in the Academy Award Nominated film “Frost/Nixon”, and in 2012, was cast as the lead in a musical drama entitled “Beautiful Noise”.
