Established in 1877, the Monumental Building was originally constructed to honor Shelby County’s Civil War dead. The building is located on the historic court square in downtown Sidney and is now home to the Sidney Municipal Court and Shelby County Veterans Services. Today, a memorial to all Shelby County fallen soldiers is on display.
