Most People Opening Drink Cans Simultaneously

Shelby County students will be joined by others from the Shelby County community in an attempt to break the world record for opening a drink can simultaneously. The current record established in Japan was set in 2018 when, all at one time, 1,204 people opened a soft drink can.

Securing this record is significant to Shelby County Ohio where the process for mass-producing pop-top drink cans originated at the Stolle Corporation in Sidney. Guinness World Records officials will be on hand to validate the attempt.

Planning is underway. Be sure to check back here for more details as available.
